Where I’ve been and what I’ve learned along the way

A quick timeline, for context: 

Across continents and industries, I've left each organization better than I found it by immersing myself in learning opportunities to understand the mission, and then exercising my talents as a problem solver, systems builder, storyteller, and team player. Here are some of the capacities I've honed over the journey, and a couple of key accomplishments to back them up:  

 

Dynamic Organization Development and Operational
Skills

Excellence in project/program management; ability to problem solve, and deliver concurrent projects proactively, and under pressure - whether working independently or with a team. Systems and optimization oriented thinker. Robust remote work practice.

Rich experience with operations and organization development: background across HR, finance, regulatory, and logistics functions including training material development and onboarding, succession planning, goals, mission, and values setting, hiring and supervision, revenue generation and budgeting, campaign tracking and analysis, contract composition and negotiation, government grant compliance reporting, travel and accommodations planning

Drove diverse cross-departmental projects supporting account services, digital strategy, and sales while working remotely and participating in Remote Year

Expanded Organizational Consulting department as team lead in a player-coach model; acting as onboarding driver, emergency coverage support, and manager, as well as direct consultant to 100+ clients, while working remotely

Stewarded production process for organization learning and development projects, managing cross functional teams of sales, art, writers, and programmers.

Conducted Appreciative Inquiry assessments and strategic interventions for organizations development needs for businesses and non-profits including: West Side Community House, Mantaline Manufacturing, and the Green Urban Lunch Box

Managed high density demands of homeroom and subject classes including: development of curricular and enrichment materials, complex workflows, behavioral evaluation and management, reporting and conferencing with parents

Founded radio station volunteer program - recruited, screened, trained, and coordinated corps of 100+

Took charge of non-profit development department - creating new fundraising streams through community enrichment events, flagship fundraisers, and donor relations programs

Directed concurrent projects throughout all public radio station departments (fundraising, development, community outreach, events, programming) - successfully executed against competing priorities and deadlines

Extensive experience directing global accounts; cultivated, closed, and stewarded progress on appx. $6M of business revenue across organizations

Negotiated and executed over 400 strategic partnerships, event sponsorships, and marketing initiatives with corporate and community partners, including: non-profits, citizen groups, media outlets, local business, and global enterprises

Nurtured cooperative relationships with International school stakeholders - students, parents, faculty and administrators

Managed team of four consultants; providing coaching, performance support, and personal development while working remotely.

Worked closely with non-profit Boards of Directors across arts, community, and religious organizations

Organized staff logistics at 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games Longtrack Speedskating venue - managed cooperative efforts of production teams in Asia, Europe, and Australia

Strong storyteller and cross-functional communications designer. Forward thinking editorial direction, comprehensive content creation, and robust public presentation experience.

Planned and generated internal communications storytelling and process building tools, as well as client and partner-facing deliverables, including market insight presentations, proposals, and new business pitches

Mapped organizational performance needs and proposed comprehensive learning strategies; designed curriculum systems and implementation plan; mined subject content for key takeaways; structured and composed course content, workshops, learning activities, and assessments targeted for adult learning

Stewarded training and development projects for Fortune 500 clients (with budgets ranging from $45-750,000) - including needs and content analysis, performance evaluation and mapping, curriculum outlining, and course development

Redesigned marketing communications strategy including style guide, content planning, and execution for brand collateral, policy documents, newsletters, web content, social media, handbooks, and fundraising appeals

Developed lesson plans and evaluation mechanisms for English, Science and Geography curricula, with an emphasis on critical analysis, skill development, creative expression, and fact retention

Revived non-profit grants program - researched, composed, edited and managed heritage awards (while increasing values) and garnering new fundraising wins

Produced over 150 episodes of The Beehive, an award-winning arts, culture, and community focused radio editorial series; creative direction and editing for 35+ episodes of The LeaderLab, a leadership development podcast, which reached the top 10% of podcasts on the Apple charts

Combined 6 years of broadcasting and teaching experience = thousands of hours of presenting while serving as organizational representative at the highest levels

Each role I've taken on has required completely different technical expertise from the last. Quickly and proficiently, I've developed command of: grant writing, social media management, community outreach, event planning, FCC regulations for non-profit broadcasters, academic achievement expectations, lesson planning and curricular workflow, vendor management, revenue planning, employer branding, web development, proprietary software functionality, UX/UI, instructional design for digital and in-person courses, and more!
